A large residential fire broke out in Gilbert, sending heavy flames through the roof of a home and causing a partial structural collapse.

Fire crews arrived to find the house already heavily involved, with fire extending into the attic space. Due to unsafe conditions and signs of structural failure, firefighters transitioned to a defensive strategy, attacking the fire from the exterior.

Flames were visible pushing through the roof as crews worked to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to nearby homes. Portions of the roof collapsed during operations.

No injuries have been reported at this time. The cause of the fire has not yet been released, and the incident remains under investigation by fire officials.
