Mesa Shooting on the US 60

At approximately 3:45 PM, a shooting occurred on the US 60 near Greenfield.

The suspect reportedly fired shots on the freeway before exiting and fleeing the area.

The individual was later located at Envision Apartments near Greenfield and Southern in Mesa.

The suspect initially refused to exit the apartment. After multiple deployments of tear gas and flashbangs (approximately 5–10 rounds), officers continued negotiations.

Following an approximately two-hour standoff, the suspect exited the apartment around 6:25 PM, reportedly due to the gas inside.

Two adults were taken into custody at the scene
