Man Shot by Police After Threatening His Daughter
Arizona Crime Network Got Information From "Ryan Cody" a "Chandler Police Media Manager"
Chandler, AZ — Chandler Police responded to a call near Chandler Boulevard and McQueen Road involving a man who was reportedly threatening his younger daughter while inside a vehicle, according to authorities.
Police say the suspect provided officers with his address. When officers arrived, they located the vehicle parked at the residence. During the encounter, the suspect allegedly made multiple threats toward officers and public safety.
Officers attempted to negotiate with the suspect for an extended period of time, but those efforts were unsuccessful. An officer-involved shooting occurred during the incident.
Due to the seriousness of the incident, the Mesa Police Department has assumed control of the investigation through EV-CERT (East Valley Critical Incident Response Team). The investigation remains ongoing.
